Stimulating Innovative Behavior: Cultural Aspects in Organizations

This article explores the stimulation of innovative behavior within organizations, with a particular focus on cultural aspects. Innovative behavior is defined as the ability and willingness of employees to generate and implement new ideas in practice. The paper examines both individual and collective levels at which innovative behavior emerges. To establish the theoretical framework, models of organizational and national culture (Schein, Hofstede, Cameron & Quinn, among others) as well as definitions of innovative behavior are applied. The research methodology is based on a literature review and the analysis of international case studies (Toyota, Google, IKEA), which allows for the integration of theoretical and practical perspectives. The analysis reveals that key factors for stimulating innovative behavior include psychological safety, knowledge sharing, transformational leadership, and the management of diversity. At the same time, the influence of national culture can either support or constrain innovation - for example, in contexts characterized by high hierarchy or fear of mistakes, innovative behavior is less likely to develop. In conclusion, the paper offers recommendations for organizations: creating an error-tolerant environment, encouraging employee creativity, developing mechanisms for knowledge sharing, and taking national cultural characteristics into account. The article argues that innovative behavior in organizations is not merely an individual trait but a dynamic process rooted in cultural context, ultimately shaping organizational sustainability and competitiveness.

The Role of Tourism in the Economic Development of Samtskhe–Javakheti

The Samtskhe–Javakheti region, located in the southern part of Georgia, constitutes one of the significant components of the country’s economic space. The region is distinguished by its strategic location, which positions it as a transit and trade hub, particularly in the context of economic relations with Turkey and Armenia. Traditionally, the backbone of the regional economy has been agriculture: the production of potatoes, grains, and livestock products forms an essential element of national food security.

In recent years, tourism has emerged as a leading direction of economic development. The Borjomi resort, the rock-hewn city of Vardzia, and other cultural and natural monuments have endowed the region with the status of an international tourist destination. The growth of tourism contributes to employment, the expansion of the service sector, and the strengthening of small businesses.

Despite this progress, the region continues to face challenges such as population migration, unemployment, underdeveloped infrastructure, and the seasonality of the economy. Nevertheless, Samtskhe–Javakheti possesses considerable potential for the modernization of the agricultural sector, the enhancement of eco-tourism and cultural tourism, the expansion of its transit function, and the development of small enterprises.

Accordingly, the economic profile of the region demonstrates that, under the conditions of sound investment policies and development strategies, Samtskhe–Javakheti can become not only a local but also a nationally significant driving force of economic growth.

This leads to the transformation and modernization of society, industry, and enterprises, promoting sustainable economic development based on innovative models.

This article examines the significance of the digital economy in modern economic systems, manifested through increased production efficiency, job creation, and the generation of synergistic effects across various industries. The digital economy, driven by digital technologies, the Internet, and the new business models they enable, has a significant impact on the development of modern economic systems. Digital transformation alters the fundamental principles of economic functioning, affecting both developed and developing countries.

The aim of this paper is to explore the impact of the digital economy on the development of economic systems, to present global trends as well as Georgia’s experience in this field, and to include relevant research and data.
