Abstract

The studies accomplished at the end of the past century, comparing various optical characteristics of lunar soils and their terrestrial analogs, showed that it is possible to identify different degrees of packing of the lunar surface matter by remote sensing methods. The normal albedo ρ0 and the maximum degree of polarization Pm are used as the initial characteristics of the reflectivity of a finely dispersed substance.
