FOR THE QUESTION OF MESKHETI RESIDENTS’ MENTALITYY

Abstract
“Interesting missionary diary-letters of Khojavaant priest Iovane” rewritten in Akhaltsikhe for the historical research of Meskheti by Iv. Gvaramadze in 1892, is multilaterally interesting historical sourse.It shows the daily records about hard political situation of Georgia in XVIII_XIX centuries, that reflected and influenced the mental-ethnicreligious features of native population. We present, the facts, reasons and results of consciousness and mental changeability in later feudal era of Samtskhe-Javakheti population according to the review of the general history chronicles of the priest.
