Several authentic collection of Giorgi Eristavi are preserved in the Giorgi Le-onidze State Museum of Georgian Literature. The manuscripts gave compelled our attention in respect of several standpoints: they have become the basis for the publication of the collection of Giorgi Eristavi; these collections include po-ems, which are not found in any other publications, as well as have never been published. At the same time, it is noteworthy that the majority of poems pub-lished in this edition represent the only originals, which are preserved in the museum. That is why we believe that separate manuscripts and authentic collec-tions of Giorgi Eristavi represent quite an interesting source for researches from the textual point of view.
