Abstract

There are people of different ethnic groups among the citizens of Georgia. Therefore their lifestyles as well as their cultural values are being developed in this country. However, in most cases due to confessional, ethno cultural and linguistic differences certain types of marginalization may also sometimes occur. As a result, in order to ensure the unity of the population, it is necessary to overcome all the challenges that hinder a closer communication of the citizens. Language gap appears to be one of the biggest challenges here. The knowledge of the state language is an indispensable condition for success. Here the variety of dialects, many of which are common for the Armenian language may be considered as one of the issues as well.
Generally, the common opinion on the unity of the Armenian literary language is not completely clear, as the Armenian language has been developed in several dialects and each version of these dialects has developed its own individual features. (Coming from the past, the dialects that are considered as the basis of a so-called New Armenian Language appeared to be comparatively solid, for instance Ararat, Lore, Korchevani, etc.). Among the list of sixty Armenian dialects, there is a dialect of Tbilisi and sub dialects of Akhaltsikhe and Akhalkalaki that are spoken by all Armenians living in these regions. Therefore, for the Armenian-speaking children at Armenian schools there is another challenge of the Armenian literary language which is not similar to their spoken language).
